I'm a historian of sex, science, and classification. Mostly, I'm interested in how socially-constructed categories come to be regarded as biological truths. My work is situated in queer, trans, and feminist STS; history of sexuality; and histories of science and medicine. I'm writing a book and some other stuff about it.
I'm a Lecturer (Assistant Professor effective July 2022) in History and Sociology of Science and Core Faculty in Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. See my CV for more info.
